Common questions
How do I sign in?
Open Wavelet on your iPhone and tap Sign in with Plex; your watch is signed in too. Or, on the watch, tap Sign in with Plex and enter the code shown at plex.tv/link.
It says it can’t find my server
Wavelet connects over a secure connection. In Plex Media Server settings, turn on Remote Access and set Secure connections to Preferred or Required. If your account has several servers, choose the one with your music under Music server (iPhone) or Settings → Server (watch).
How do offline downloads work?
Open an album or playlist on the watch and tap Download. Songs are stored on the watch so you can leave your phone at home. The free version keeps up to 25 songs; the one-off Lifetime unlock removes the limit.
Which music formats work?
All of them that your Plex server can play. MP3, AAC, ALAC, FLAC, WAV and AIFF play on the watch as they are. Other formats (such as OGG, Opus, WMA, APE, WavPack, DSD and MP2) and hi-res files are converted to MP3 by your Plex server as they stream or download. With Download quality set to Original, files the watch can play are saved untouched; pick a bitrate to save space instead.
I bought the unlock but it still shows the limit
Tap Restore purchase on the iPhone (Unlock section) or on the watch (Settings → Unlock). Use the same Apple Account you bought with. Purchases are shared with Family Sharing.
Downloads stop when I lower my wrist
With “Keep app open to download” on, downloads are fastest but need the app open. Turn it off in the watch’s Settings to let watchOS download in the background instead.
Can I control another player, like the app on my phone?
Yes. On Now Playing, tap the device button at the top to pick a player. The Digital Crown then controls its volume.
